The Pay it Forward program is an important part of The Sewing Machine Project. It is our belief that the best way to say “thank you” for a machine is to give a few volunteer hours rebuilding one’s own community. We encourage each machine recipient to pay it forward in his or her own community by teaching someone else to sew or to sew for a charitable organization. We help create connections with the organizations that need this type of help.
Every individual is important and taking an active community role not only helps the community but also the individual.
