I love Nancy's television show. She is so creative and talented. It is nice to see that she is involved helping the Gulf Coast residents rebuild their lives after the oil spill.
Regards,
Lizbeth

I wish I had the money to help these children have better lives. Enchanted Makeovers appears to be doing just that with The Sewing Machine Project. I remember as a teen I couldn't wait to get my first Singer Golden Touch and Sew (on credit, no less; and even though the bobbin kept popping out, I still loved that machine). There is something so wholesome about giving children the gift of making something with their hands: about taking a piece of fabric and turning it into a beautiful garment, or a snazzy decorator item. I wish all them the best and I wish I were rich so I could help them...
Love ya,
Lizbeth

Very timely and astute observation, Margaret. Some things that are torn (like any political unity) maybe need to be torn all the way through and then something new created from the scraps.

Love this story. It is so true! I spend less than 20 minutes talking with Joanie Poole and we are both off and running with ideas and plans just because we exchanged a few views. Looking forward to hearing more!
Hugs!

Hi Mary, That's absolutely wonderful! AllBrands is still accepting machines. You can just drop it off at one of their shops.

Thank you for your donation and your kind words!

All my best,
Margaret

I had no idea machines were so needed right in my backyard. I live in Baton Rouge, and have a vintage New Home that is a tank and has already been completely refurbished. It sews over many layers and is also very fast. Would be perfect for someone with a small business that needs the speed. Is Allbrands still accepting machines for you? If so, I can bring it over there.
Thanks for the wonderful work that you do.

Margaret, I was just talking about you and The Sewing Machine Project recently....your ears were probably burning. My comment was that it was so refreshing, in this difficult political situation, to read of all you've done with this project and how your initial idea has grown in such a wonderful way due in part to your energy. My hats(several) are off to you for engaging in such stellar work that is helping so many. My best...Thom
