Hi Andria,
Thank you for your kind words and offer. We have packed and shipped our first Haiti shipment but I am sure we will be doing another in the future. We are accepting new clothing for the kids in the orphanages and many sewers around the country are busy creating little cotton clothes. We need them for ages 6 months to 17 years...easy, loose-fitting, breathable. Little elastic-waisted shorts and skirts, shift dresses (over the head), little shortie pj's...cotton. There are plenty of easy patterns out there! If your sewing group makes some of these items, you can box them and ship them to me and I will get them on the next Haiti shipment in a few months.

Hello, Margaret!
A friend just sent me a link to your web site, and I am so excited to hear about the Sewing Machine Project and your work in Haiti! I am a member of the Marin County chapter (Marin Golden Threads) of the Embroiderers Guild of America, and we have been trying to find a way to contribute clothing for orphans and/or supplies to needleworkers in Haiti and to publicize the effort to other EGA chapters across the country. I have spent time trying to find an aid organization for us to work with to connect us with a local group in Haiti but have not had the same luck you did with USAID. Your organization is heaven sent!
If you will let me know what are the parameters of what you would like to send to Haiti and when the next shipment is scheduled, we will get right on it.
Thank you for getting the ball rolling; there are many of us who want to keep it going.
Best regards,
Andria
