mending communities, one sewing machine at a time

All Eyes on Gustav

We’ve been watching intently as Gustav has approached the coast and tested this area with all it’s got. The eyes of the nation have watched New Orleans evacuate and we’ve held our breath in the hope that the storm will weaken. The worst seems to be over.

I will be visiting New Orleans again in October with another load of machines, fabric, and sewing supplies. I may be taking other supplies as well as we discern what the needs of the area are after this most recent storm.

Your donations would be most appreciated at this time. We’ve made it really easy to donate through this site and I’ll be happy to send you a thank you note which you can use for tax purposes. Thank you!
