mending communities, one sewing machine at a time

Read Testimonials and Leave Your Own

The machines that go to New Orleans take on new lives with their new owners. Now, we’re giving the owners a chance to share their stories. If you are the recipient of a machine, please visit our new Testimonials page and leave a comment.

Plus, if you would like to find out how the Sewing Machine Project is affecting lives, the Testimonials page is a great place to start.

This note was sent after this sweet woman shipped her beloved sewing machine to The Sewing Machine Project:

I think this cause you have started is wonderful and to allow me to have a little part in helping is a great joy and I will help more if I can. This is something that I am excited about I agree with you this is a gift for myself as well as what small difference it might make to someone. You have really inspired me the news is so full of doom and gloom to know that acts of kindness still exist warm the heart.
